"Settle Down, Jack"
Jack Settle Lyrics

It was a dim-lit bar
Sometime last week
Shootin' pool and shootin' whiskey
Just my buddies and me

When a real pretty lady
Appeared on my right
And suddenly she was the only thing in sight

Now, I've made some bad decisions
And I have a few regrets
But when I'm with the boys
They keep me in check

So as soon as they caught
A glimpse of my stare
They cut me off before I could even compliment her hair

Oh and they said,
"Settle down, Jack
You should take a sip of water
If you think you're lookin' cooler
And the girls are lookin' hotter

If you can't read that neon sign
You should step on out of line
And settle down, Jack"

Now, I've got a way of only hearin' what I like
So naturally I didn't even hear their advice
And I walked right up to her with a grin, said,
"Hey sweet darlin', you're surely a 10"

And before I knew it, I was standin' face-to-face
With a big burly man who said that I was in his place
He said, "That's my girl"
I said, "Oh boy"
And the boys rushed over when they heard the noise

Oh and they said,
"Settle down, Jack
You should take a sip of water
If you think you're lookin' cooler
And the girls are lookin' hotter

If you can't read that neon sign
You should step on out of line
And settle down, Jack"

Settle down

Oh
Settle down, Jack
You should take a sip of water
If you think you're lookin' cooler
And the girls are lookin' hotter

If you can't read that neon sign
You should step on out of line
And settle down, Jack

And settle down, Jack
Settle down, Jack
And settle down, Jack
